John Goddard, President and Founder, established Goddard Financial Planning, Inc, in 2001 after an extensive career as a corporate executive. He is committed to providing financial planning and investment advice to those who prefer not to receive these services from a financial advisor who sells products or who manages client assets.
A graduate of Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey, with a BA in Sociology, John is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM , an active member and former board member of the Puget Sound Chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), a NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisor, and a contributor to the book Just Give Me The Answers.
Along with managing the firm, John has developed personal financial plans for hundreds of clients. He believes that each plan must be a combination of analysis, recommendations, and implementation guidelines that reflects a client’s unique situation. He has extensive experience with the complex issues relating to:

Sandra Borrowdale joined Goddard Financial Planning, Inc., in 2007 to enable the firm to expand its practice. She became a financial planner after many years of experience as a tax accountant and as a project manager. Sandra completed her academic preparation for becoming a Certified Financial Plannertm through the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. Sandra passed the rigorous 10-hour comprehensive CFP® Board exam in November, 2007, and will earn the right to use the CFP® marks of distinction upon completion of the experience requirements.
Sandra holds a BS in Commerce from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. She is a Registered Investment Advisor Representative in the state of Washington and a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). She has served as a 401(k) plan trustee providing fiduciary guidance in the selection of investment options and plan oversight.
In addition to developing financial plans, Sandra is responsible for:
- The collation and organization of client data for input into a personal financial plan
- Client tax and withholding projections
- Assisting clients with the implementation of their plan’s recommendations

Nancy Dienes joined Goddard Financial Planning, Inc., in October, 2009 to help the firm expand hourly, fee-only planning in the greater Seattle area. Her passion for helping people achieve a lifetime of financial well-being drew her into the financial planning field after a successful career in engineering and manufacturing. Prior to joining Goddard Financial Planning she was the Vice President of Operations of a global manufacturing company.
Nancy brings a unique skill set to GFP holding an MBA from Seattle University and a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Mexico. Nancy completed her academic preparation for becoming a Certified Financial Plannertm through the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. In July, 2008, Nancy passed the rigorous 10-hour comprehensive CFP® Board exam and will earn the right to use the CFP® marks of distinction upon completion of the experience requirements.
An active member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and NAPFA (National Association of Professional Financial Advisors), Nancy volunteers for Junior Achievement, teaching financial planning skills to high school students. She also presents retirement savings concepts to plan participants of non-profit organizations.
In addition to developing financial plans, Nancy is responsible for:

- The collation and organization of client data for input into a personal financial plan
- Assisting clients with the implementation of their plan’s recommendations
- Information systems
